2020 Lander Chamber Community Awards

Martha with 2020 Anchor Award

Lander Children’s Museum was the grateful recipient of the Lander Chamber Community Anchor Award. This award is given by community nominations for businesses/organizations that have stood the test of time! This was awarded to us just as we celebrate our 20th anniversary this year! Our founder Martha Howard-Sempert was able to accept the award at the reception. Thank you Martha for bringing LCM’s vision to reality 20 years ago!

Amazon #DeliveringSmiles:

We were the joyous recipient of Amazon’s #DeliveringSmiles program a charitable off-shoot of Amazon.com.  “We got an email from Amazon that said ‘your non-profit charity’ has been selected for Delivering Smiles, for your charity wish list,” says vice-chair Michelle Strom. Over $3000 dollars worth of merchandise began arriving on Dec. 12th, furniture, drones, Kindle tablets, a play kitchen, giant foam blocks, a $200 robotic arm, a digital microscope, and much more. The entire wish list we created came one truckload at a time. We had no idea the facility was eligible for a donation from the giving network Amazon Smile. “This is unbelievable”!
